Angela will be getting married in Brookings next July. She claims to have a “lack of creative ability” when it comes to pulling all of her wedding ideas together. This classic, urban contemporary wedding will has some great elements being pulled in… a mix of glass, galvanized containers and simple tulips will intrique guests! LOVE this one…

Amy – South Dakota Wedding Inspiration

We will be assisting Amy with her wedding design and planning for September 2011. She will be having an outdoor ceremony and reception under a tent at her parent’s home. Amy’s style is a bit shabby chic with a vintage twist. She is wanting to create a truly unique reception experience for her guests and we can’t wait to be a part of it!

Nicki – South Dakota Wedding Inspiration

We’ve got another winter wedding in the works. Nicki and Mike are planning a Christmas inspired event at the Brandon Golf Course. We will be designing the lodge for both the ceremony and reception. The candlelit room will play nicely with the deep red and greens in the floral!

Another amazing photoshoot with AC Ellis Photography for a Country Pattern inspiration. With the perfect barn as a backdrop we created this sweetheart and “ice cream” treat table with country black and white patterns and lightened it up a bit with a touch of yellow. Cupcakes piped with yellow and white frosting, paired well with the icecream bar.

Another wedding at the Washington Pavilion last weekend! Stacey and Dave chose to have their reception on the Great Hall stage. Beautiful with the purple lighting, white linens, purple runners and florals… check out their amazing cake base!

Jennifer and Lee chose to have both their ceremony and reception at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The ceremony was held on the Belbas Theatre stage and the reception upstairs in the Everest Gallery. Jennifer’s color palette was ivory and shades of red, which was carried throughout her entire event. The Belbas Stage is PERFECT for a “dramatic” ceremony…

Iowa Wedding – Sarah & Mike

We traveled to Sioux City over July 4th for the wedding of Sarah & Mike. We helped them plan there ceremony and reception decor from across the country. We were very excited about their reception, held at Bev’s on the River. The event decor and lighting were beautiful!!

Ashley and Justin hired us for full planning, we helped bring all of their elements and vendors together to pull of a very sophisticated, fun wedding concept. Their ceremony was held in Ashley’s parents backyard, with their reception following at the El Riad Shrine Masque located in downtown Sioux Falls. Considering the very long, hot and sweaty day – everything looked amazing! Notice the polkadots carried throughout the ceremony and reception!

Calligraphy – Good Story!

We had a client email the studio in desperation to get her envelopes addressed by our calligrapher. She has run into some issues in D.C. with her hired calligrapher losing her envelopes, then not completing her addresses at all and the list goes on. We stepped in and had her envelopes printed and addressed within 10 days for her… this is what she writes:

I have a great little story for you guys!
One of the people I invited to my wedding is a co-worker at my law firm, former United States Congressman Albert Wynn (D-MD). His wife is a calligrapher and she made a point to tell him to tell me that is one of the nicest calligraphy jobs she’s seen on an invitation. She said it was very well done! And he thought so too:) He just left my office after sitting down to tell me how great the calligraphy was. Just thought I’d let you know. Thanks again! – Jen

We offer many different addressing styles here at the studio, including calligraphy and data print. Proper etiquette suggests always addressing your invitations by hand, using blue or black ink, and be sure to use the same handwriting on both inner and outer envelopes (if applicable).
