Angela will be getting married in Brookings next July. She claims to have a “lack of creative ability” when it comes to pulling all of her wedding ideas together. Amy – South Dakota Wedding Inspiration

We will be assisting Amy with her wedding design and planning for September 2011. She will be having an outdoor ceremony and reception under a tent at her parent’s home. Amy’s style is a bit shabby chic with a vintage twist. She is wanting to create a truly unique reception experience for her guests and we can’t wait to be a part of it!

Nicki – South Dakota Wedding Inspiration

We’ve got another winter wedding in the works. Nicki and Mike are planning a Christmas inspired event at the Brandon Golf Course. We will be designing the lodge for both the ceremony and reception. The candlelit room will play nicely with the deep red and greens in the floral!

Country Pattern – South Dakota Wedding Idea

Another amazing photoshoot with AC Ellis Photography for a Country Pattern inspiration. With the perfect barn as a backdrop we created this sweetheart and “ice cream” treat table with country black and white patterns and lightened it up a bit with a touch of yellow. Cupcakes piped with yellow and white frosting, paired well with the icecream bar.

Allison is planning for a fall ceremony and reception at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls. We are assisting with Allison’s invitation design, ceremony and reception design. As you can see from this inspiration board, the prominent colors are ivory and taupe, with the floral bringing in most of the color. Very bright reds, oranges and greens will be used to brighten up the Great Hall Stage!

Regal Black & Gold – South Dakota Wedding Idea

We partnered up with the area’s finest wedding vendors and South Dakota Wedding Style to shoot this amazing set. From the chairs to the jewelry, everything coordinated perfectly. There was a long list of vendors who took part in this Black & Gold wedding design, to view them and information on how this South Dakota wedding shoot came together, visit www.sdweddingstyle.com.

A record number of our South Dakota wedding vendors came together to make this concept board into a real creation. Each of the vendors provided a little write up on their contribution. Enjoy the information and all the images in the slideshow.

This season, metallic décor is everywhere. We wanted to create a table design that incorporated the glittery elegance of gold while maintaining a classic, sophisticated feel.

With gold and other metallic colors, it is easy to get carried away; without proper editing, events go from gorgeous to Vegas-gone-wrong. By pairing it with classic black and white, the gold is able to be showcased without becoming too overwhelming.

We incorporated Spark Letterpress pieces that featured a refined black motif on crisp white paper. The centerpiece for the table combined dainty white orchids and calla lilies with black river rock and curly willow in varied height cylinder vases to create a subtle modern undertone, while maintaining the sumptuous elegance of the overall theme. All of these elements were pulled together through the small gold details including flatware from the Museum of Visual Materials, candles, accent ribbons, and dessert wrappers. Chiavari chairs from Ideal Wedding and Events take the up another notch. Requiring no chair covers to look elegant their simple open structure added to the gold coloring with out overtaking the total design.

On the desert table elements were staggered at different heights to please the eye as well as the palate. A cake from The Cake Lady’s with just the right amount of black detail became the centerpiece. Cookies, truffles and pudding with custom chocolate topping round out the offerings. Mirrors, drapery and small pictures frames held the sumptuous treats as well as inform your guests of their choices.

Red & Teal – South Dakota Wedding Idea

I absolutely love this color combination. I would have never thought red would mesh SO well with a teal or pool blue, but it turned out AMAZING! This shoot was done before re-doing the floors in our downtown space. It was the perfect setting for this contemporary wedding reception design.

Jennifer will be having her ceremony and reception one of our favorite venues, the Washington Pavilion. The ceremony will be held in the Belbas Theatre and reception in the Everest Gallery. Her color choices include deep red/berry, black and ivory. When designing this inspiration board and wedding decor, we had to keep in mind the groom-to-be’s one request, apples or fruit. The reds in this South Dakota wedding design would be great paired with other red tones or deep purple…
